A US liquid quart is one quarter of a US gallon, which is defined as exactly 231 cubic inches, giving 0.946352946 liters. An imperial quart is one quarter of the imperial gallon of exactly 4.54609 liters, so 1.1365225 liters. The US dry quart is 1/32 of a bushel, or 1.101220942715 liters.
