About the Twitch Revenue Calculator
This Twitch revenue calculator estimates what a streamer earns in a month. Enter your subscriber counts by tier (plus Prime Gaming subs), the share of each sub you receive, the Bits cheered on your channel, your average viewers and hours streamed for ad revenue, and any tips from outside services. It totals monthly and yearly income and shows which stream of money matters most.
It is for Affiliates and Partners planning goals, creators weighing a revenue-share upgrade, and anyone curious how many subs a full-time income takes. Every rate is editable because Twitch pricing differs by country, eligible creators can move from a 50% to a 60% or 70% sub split through Twitch’s revenue-share programs, and ad payouts depend on demand.
Assumptions: Prime subs are valued at the Tier 1 price, Bits pay the streamer one cent each, and ad income is impressions × CPM × your ad revenue share. Twitch calculates your share after sales tax and any app-store fees, so mobile and gifted-sub payouts can differ — check your Creator Dashboard revenue page for exact figures.
With the default inputs, the estimated monthly income is $771.66. Change any value above to recalculate instantly.

Formula and method
Subscription income multiplies each tier’s subscriber count by its price and your revenue share; Prime Gaming subs are valued at the Tier 1 price. Bits are bought by viewers and paid to the streamer at one cent per Bit cheered.
Ad income is estimated from impressions: average concurrent viewers × hours streamed × ad minutes per hour × two 30-second ads per minute, reduced by the share of viewers who actually see ads. Impressions ÷ 1,000 × CPM gives gross ad revenue, and your ad revenue share is what you keep. Tips from outside services are added as entered.

Worked examples
Affiliate with 137 subs and 50 viewers
130 Tier 1 and Prime subs at $5.99, 5 Tier 2 at $9.99 and 2 Tier 3 at $24.99 total $878.63; a 50% split pays $439.32. 20,000 Bits add $200. 50 viewers × 80 hours × 6 ads per hour × 70% reach is 16,800 impressions, worth $32.34 at a $3.50 CPM and 55% share. With $100 in tips the month totals about $771.66.
Partner on a 70% split
1,000 Tier 1 and Prime subs, 40 Tier 2 and 10 Tier 3 gross $6,639.50; 70% is $4,647.65. 100,000 Bits pay $1,000. 400 viewers × 120 hours × 6 ads × 70% = 201,600 impressions, or $443.52 at a $4 CPM and 55% share. Adding $500 tips gives about $6,591 a month.
Subs only
100 Tier 1 subs at $5.99 with a 50% split pay $299.50 a month — just under $3 per sub.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Twitch streamer make per sub?+
Under the standard 50% split a Tier 1 sub priced at $5.99 pays the streamer about $3. Creators who qualify for Twitch’s higher revenue-share programs can earn 60% or 70% of sub revenue. Twitch calculates the share after sales tax and app-store fees, so mobile subs pay less.
How much is 1,000 Bits worth to a streamer?+
Streamers receive one cent per Bit cheered, so 1,000 Bits pay $10. Viewers pay a little more than that to buy Bits, which covers Twitch’s margin and payment costs.
How much do Twitch ads pay?+
Ad income depends on CPM, how many viewers see ads and how many ad minutes you run. A streamer with 50 viewers running three minutes of ads per hour earns only tens of dollars a month from ads; subs and Bits are usually far larger.
Do Prime Gaming subs pay the same as paid subs?+
A Prime Gaming sub generally counts like a Tier 1 sub for revenue, which is why this calculator values it at the Tier 1 price. Prime subs must be renewed manually each month, so they churn more than paid subs.
How many subs do you need to make a living on Twitch?+
At about $3 per Tier 1 sub on a 50% split, $3,000 a month takes roughly 1,000 subs from subscriptions alone. Bits, ads, sponsorships and tips reduce that number, and a 70% split cuts it to around 715.
