About the StockX Fee Calculator

This StockX fee calculator shows what you actually get paid when an item sells on the StockX Verified Marketplace. Enter the sale price, choose your seller level and add what you paid for the pair, and it deducts StockX’s transaction fee and payment processing fee to give your payout, profit, return on cost and the lowest ask that still breaks even.

It is built for sneaker and streetwear resellers deciding where to set an ask, comparing StockX with other platforms, or checking how much moving up a seller level is worth. The table shows your payout at every level for the same sale price.

Fees follow StockX’s published US seller fees as reviewed in October 2026: a transaction fee of 9% at Level 1, 8.5% at Level 2, 8% at Level 3, 7.5% at Level 4 and 7% at Level 5, plus a 3% payment processing fee, both charged on the sale price. StockX lists a $5 minimum seller fee in the US; this calculator applies it as a floor on the transaction fee, so on very cheap items your real fee may differ slightly. The Listings Marketplace and StockX Live currently charge sellers no fees and are not modeled.

With the default inputs, the your payout is $220.00. Change any value above to recalculate instantly.

Formula and method

Transaction fee = max(P × t, min) · Processing = P × 3% · Payout = P − fees · Break-even P = C ÷ (1 − t − 3%)

StockX charges sellers two fees on the final sale price P: a transaction fee t that falls from 9% to 7% as your seller level rises, and a flat 3% payment processing fee. Your payout is the sale price minus both. Profit subtracts what you paid for the item and any other costs, and return on cost divides profit by those costs.

The break-even ask is the price at which the payout exactly covers your costs C, found by dividing costs by one minus the combined fee rate. When the transaction fee would be below the minimum, the minimum is used instead, so break-even becomes (C + min) ÷ 0.97. Seller levels are recalculated quarterly from your sales count or dollar volume.

Worked examples

$250 sneakers at Level 1

At Level 1 the transaction fee is 9% of $250 ($22.50) and processing is 3% ($7.50), so fees total $30 and the payout is $220. After paying $180 for the pair, profit is $40 — a 22.2% return. Any ask below $204.55 would lose money.

$400 sale at Level 4

Level 4 cuts the transaction fee to 7.5%, or $30 on $400, plus $12 processing. The payout is $358, and after $270 of costs the profit is $88. Break-even is $270 ÷ 0.895 = $301.68.

$40 item where the minimum applies

9% of $40 is only $3.60, so the $5 minimum transaction fee applies, plus $1.20 processing. Fees take 15.5% of the sale and the payout is $33.80.

Frequently asked questions

How much does StockX take from sellers?+

On the US Verified Marketplace StockX charges a transaction fee of 7% to 9% depending on your seller level, plus a 3% payment processing fee, both on the sale price (as reviewed October 2026). A new Level 1 seller pays 12% in total.

How do StockX seller levels work?+

Levels are based on your sales in a quarter: Level 2 needs 12 sales or $1,500, Level 3 needs 40 sales or $5,000, Level 4 needs 200 sales or $25,000 and Level 5 needs 800 sales or $100,000. Levels reset quarterly, and you can move up mid-quarter.

Is there a minimum fee on StockX?+

Yes. StockX lists a minimum seller fee of $5.00 for US sellers (other regions have local minimums, such as £4.50 in Great Britain). It only matters on low-priced items, roughly under $55 at Level 1.

How do I set an ask price that covers fees?+

Divide what you need to receive by one minus your total fee rate. At Level 1 (12% total) you need an ask of about $113.64 to receive $100. The break-even output does this for your exact costs.

Does StockX charge sellers for shipping?+

For Verified Marketplace sales StockX sends you a shipping label to print and use when you ship the item for verification, and its published seller fees list only the transaction and processing fees. Packaging and drop-off costs are yours, so add them under other costs.
