About the Depop Fee Calculator
This Depop fee calculator shows exactly what comes off a sale before the money reaches your bank. Pick where you sell from, enter the item price and the shipping the buyer pays, and it applies the current Depop Payments processing fee, the boosting fee if the listing was boosted, and the 10% selling fee that still applies outside the UK, US and Australia. Subtract what the item and postage cost you and you get your profit and margin.
It is built for closet clear-outs and full-time resellers alike — for pricing vintage, checking whether a boost is worth it, or comparing Depop with Poshmark, Mercari or eBay. Sellers based in the UK and US (and in Australia for AUD sales from 22 July 2026) pay no Depop selling fee, so processing is usually the only deduction unless you boost.
Figures follow Depop’s "Seller fees and charges" policy as checked in October 2026: processing of 3.3% + $0.45 in the US, 2.9% + £0.30 in the UK and 2.6% + A$0.30 in Australia, charged on the item price plus shipping and any taxes. Boosting costs 12% for UK and US listings created from 23 March 2026 and 8% otherwise. The buyer’s separate marketplace fee is paid by the buyer and does not reduce your payout.
With the default inputs, the profit per sale is $20.36. Change any value above to recalculate instantly.

Formula and method
Depop Payments charges a processing fee on everything the buyer pays for the order — the item price, shipping and any sales tax or VAT added at checkout — at 3.3% + $0.45 in the US, 2.9% + £0.30 in the UK and 2.6% + A$0.30 in Australia. Sellers in other countries are paid through PayPal and pay PayPal’s own rate, plus Depop’s 10% selling fee.
The selling fee and the boosting fee are charged on the "fee base": the item price, plus the shipping amount only if you did not use a Depop shipping label. Boosting is 12% for UK and US listings created from 23 March 2026 and 8% for older UK/US listings and all other countries. Payout is what Depop sends you; profit then subtracts what you paid for the item and for postage.

Worked examples
US sale: $30 top with $6 Depop label shipping
US sellers pay no selling fee. Processing is 3.3% of $36 ($1.19) plus $0.45 = $1.64, so Depop pays out $34.36. After $8 for the item and $6 for the label, profit is $20.36.
UK boosted listing, £45 jacket
Processing is 2.9% of £49.50 (£1.44) plus £0.30 = £1.74. The listing is new, so the 12% boosting fee applies to the £45 item price: £5.40. Total fees are £7.14 and profit after costs is £25.86.
Seller outside UK/US/AU, own shipping
Without a Depop label, the 10% selling fee applies to the $58 price plus shipping: $5.80. PayPal at 3.4% + $0.35 takes $2.32. Fees total $8.12, leaving $26.88 profit after the item and postage.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Depop take from a sale?+
For US sellers, Depop takes only the payment processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45 on the total the buyer pays, unless the item was boosted. On a $36 order that is about $1.64. UK sellers pay 2.9% + £0.30 and Australian sellers 2.6% + A$0.30.
Does Depop still charge a 10% selling fee?+
Not in the UK (from March 2024), the US (from July 2024) or Australia (for AUD sales from 22 July 2026). Sellers in other countries still pay a 10% selling fee on the item price, plus shipping if they do not use a Depop shipping label.
How much does boosting cost on Depop?+
Boosting is only charged when a boosted listing sells. UK and US sellers pay 12% on listings created from 23 March 2026 and 8% on older listings; sellers elsewhere pay 8%. It is charged on the item price, plus shipping if you did not use a Depop label.
What is the Depop marketplace fee?+
In the UK, US and Australia buyers pay a marketplace fee of up to 5% of the item price plus up to £1, $1 or A$1. It is added at checkout and paid by the buyer, so it does not come out of your payout.
Are Depop fees refunded if I refund the buyer?+
Yes. If a sale is refunded, Depop reverses its selling, processing and boosting fees. This is automatic for Depop Payments; PayPal sellers outside the UK, US and Australia raise a support ticket for the selling fee.
