About the Hashrate Converter
This hashrate converter switches a mining hash rate between every common unit — hashes per second (H/s) through kilo, mega, giga, tera, peta, exa and zetta hashes per second. Enter a value, pick its unit and the unit you need, and all equivalents are listed together.
Different corners of mining use different scales: GPU miners quote MH/s, Bitcoin ASICs are sold in TH/s, pools report PH/s and the whole Bitcoin network is measured in EH/s. Converting between them is essential when working out your share of a pool or the network, or when comparing machines from spec sheets that use different units.
Each step is a factor of 1,000 (SI prefixes), so 1 TH/s = 1,000 GH/s = 1,000,000 MH/s. The converter handles very large and very small results using scientific notation where needed.

Formula and method
Hash rate units use decimal SI prefixes, and each step up the ladder — H, kH, MH, GH, TH, PH, EH, ZH — is exactly 1,000 times larger than the one before. To convert, the value is first multiplied into plain hashes per second and then divided by the size of the target unit.
For example, 150 TH/s is 150 × 10¹² = 1.5 × 10¹⁴ H/s; dividing by 10⁹ gives 150,000 GH/s. Unlike computer memory, hash rate never uses 1,024-based binary prefixes.

Worked examples
150 TH/s to GH/s
One TH/s is 1,000 GH/s, so 150 TH/s × 1,000 = 150,000 GH/s, or 0.15 PH/s.
Bitcoin network: 1,000 EH/s to PH/s
Each EH/s is 1,000 PH/s, so a 1,000 EH/s (1 ZH/s) network is 1,000,000 PH/s — or one billion TH/s.
GPU rig: 500 MH/s to GH/s
Going up one unit divides by 1,000: 500 MH/s ÷ 1,000 = 0.5 GH/s.

How many GH/s are in 1 TH/s?+
One terahash per second equals 1,000 gigahashes per second, 1,000,000 megahashes per second and 10¹² hashes per second.
What does TH/s mean?+
TH/s stands for terahashes per second — one trillion hash calculations each second. Modern Bitcoin ASIC miners are rated in TH/s, typically from about 100 to over 300 TH/s per machine.
What is EH/s?+
EH/s means exahashes per second, or 10¹⁸ hashes per second. It is used for the total Bitcoin network hashrate, which passed 1,000 EH/s (1 ZH/s) in 2025. One EH/s is one million TH/s.
Does hash rate use 1,000 or 1,024?+
Hash rate uses decimal SI prefixes, so every step is exactly 1,000. The 1,024-based binary prefixes used for memory (KiB, MiB) do not apply to hash rate.
Can I compare hash rates across different coins?+
Only within the same algorithm. A SHA-256 TH/s for Bitcoin is not equivalent to a TH/s on a different hashing algorithm, because each hash takes different amounts of work.
