About the LP Token Value Calculator
This LP token value calculator works out what your liquidity pool tokens are actually worth. When you add liquidity to a two-token pool such as Uniswap v2, SushiSwap or PancakeSwap v2, you receive LP tokens that represent a share of everything in the pool. Enter the pool’s reserves of each token, their market prices, the total LP token supply and how many LP tokens you hold, and it returns your share of the pool, the exact amount of each token you could withdraw, their dollar value and the price of one LP token.
It is useful when a wallet or block explorer shows an LP balance but not its value, when you are pricing LP tokens used as collateral or in a farm, or when you want to compare your position with what you originally deposited. The table shows how the underlying tokens shift as token A’s price moves, because arbitrage rebalances the pool — the mechanism behind impermanent loss.
Reserves and LP supply can be read from the pool contract or a DEX analytics page. The value and share figures work for any pool where LP tokens are fungible claims on reserves; the price-move table assumes the constant-product (x × y = k) formula, so it does not apply to Curve-style stable pools or weighted pools; concentrated-liquidity positions (Uniswap v3 NFTs) work differently, so use the concentrated liquidity calculator for those. Uncollected rewards from farms are not included.
With the default inputs, the your position value is $30,000.00. Change any value above to recalculate instantly.
How to use the lp token value calculator
- 1Look up the pool’s reserves of each token and its total LP supply on a DEX analytics page or block explorer.
- 2Enter current market prices for both tokens.
- 3Enter your LP token balance from your wallet.
- 4Optionally enter what you originally deposited to see your gain or loss.
- 5Read your share, underlying tokens and value; use the table to see how price moves change them.
Formula and method
LP tokens are pro-rata claims on the pool. If you hold 0.5% of the LP supply, burning them returns 0.5% of each reserve, including the trading fees that have accumulated in the pool. Multiplying those amounts by market prices gives your position value, and dividing the pool’s total value by the LP supply gives the fair price of one LP token.
In a constant-product pool the reserves satisfy A × B = k. When token A’s market price changes, arbitrageurs trade until the pool price B ÷ A matches, so the new reserves are A = √(k ÷ price) and B = √(k × price). The table uses this to show how your token amounts and value change, and how that compares with simply holding the tokens you have now.

Worked examples
ETH/USDC pool, 250 of 50,000 LP tokens
Holding 250 of 50,000 LP tokens is 0.5% of the pool: 5 ETH and 15,000 USDC, worth $30,000. The pool is worth $6 million, so each LP token is worth $120, and the position is $2,000 above the $28,000 deposited.
BTC/ETH pool slightly out of line with the market
A 1.25% share is 2.5 BTC and 81.25 ETH, worth $493,750. The pool prices BTC at 32.5 ETH while the market implies 33.33 ETH, a 2.5% gap that arbitrageurs would soon close.
Small-cap token pool below the deposit value
Your 1,000 LP tokens are 3.16% of the pool: about 63,246 tokens and 15,811 USDC, worth $31,623. That is $8,377 less than the $40,000 deposited — a mix of the token’s price fall and impermanent loss.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the value of my LP tokens?+
Divide your LP tokens by the total LP supply to get your pool share, multiply each token reserve by that share, then multiply those amounts by the tokens’ market prices and add them together. That is what you would receive if you withdrew now, before gas.
Why did my LP token amounts change?+
Your LP token balance stays the same, but the tokens it represents change as traders swap against the pool. When one token rises in price, the pool sells it for the other, so your share holds less of the winner and more of the loser.
Do LP tokens include trading fees?+
In Uniswap v2-style pools, swap fees are added to the reserves, so they are automatically included in the value of each LP token. Farm or incentive rewards are usually paid separately and are not included.
What is the price of one LP token?+
It is the pool’s total value locked divided by the total LP token supply. Protocols that accept LP tokens as collateral often use a manipulation-resistant version of this formula based on fair reserves rather than raw reserves.
