About the Lottery Number Generator
This lottery number generator makes random quick picks for the most popular draws — Powerball, Mega Millions, EuroMillions, Eurojackpot, UK Lotto and classic Lotto 6/49 — or any custom format you define. Every ticket draws its main numbers without repeats and its bonus ball (Powerball, Mega Ball, Lucky Stars) from a separate pool, exactly the way the official machines do.
Use it when you want a fair quick pick without relying on birthdays or "lucky" patterns, when you are filling several tickets for an office pool, or when you want to see how long the odds really are. Alongside the numbers the tool shows the exact jackpot odds for the chosen game and how much a stack of tickets improves them.
Numbers come from your browser's cryptographically secure random source. Add a seed only if you want a repeatable set (for example to share the same picks with a group). No generator can make a number more likely to be drawn — every combination has exactly the same chance.

Formula and method
Each ticket draws k distinct main numbers from 1 to N using a partial Fisher–Yates shuffle, which gives every combination exactly the same probability, then draws b bonus numbers from a separate pool of 1 to B. Numbers are sorted for readability, since order does not matter in these games.
The jackpot requires matching every main number and every bonus ball, so the odds are the number of main combinations multiplied by the number of bonus combinations. With T different tickets your chance rises to T in that total, shown as the combined odds.

Worked examples
One Powerball quick pick
Powerball draws 5 white balls from 69 and 1 red Powerball from 26. There are C(69,5) = 11,238,513 white-ball combinations, times 26 Powerballs, giving jackpot odds of 1 in 292,201,338. The seed "lucky" reproduces this exact ticket.
Five EuroMillions lines
EuroMillions picks 5 of 50 main numbers (2,118,760 combinations) and 2 of 12 Lucky Stars (66 combinations), so one line has a 1 in 139,838,160 chance. Five different lines cut that to 1 in 27,967,632.
Custom 6/45 game compared with UK Lotto
A custom game drawing 6 numbers from 45 with no bonus ball has C(45,6) = 8,145,060 combinations. For comparison, UK Lotto (6 from 59) has 45,057,474 combinations, so its jackpot is more than five times harder to hit.
Frequently asked questions
Are quick picks less likely to win than chosen numbers?+
No. Every combination has exactly the same chance of being drawn. Random quick picks do avoid popular patterns like birthdays (1–31), which means that if you do win you are less likely to share the jackpot.
What are the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot?+
Matching all 5 white balls (from 69) plus the Powerball (from 26) has odds of 1 in 292,201,338. Mega Millions, with 5 from 70 and a Mega Ball from 24, is 1 in 290,472,336.
Can the bonus ball be the same as one of my main numbers?+
Yes. The Powerball, Mega Ball, Lucky Stars and Euro numbers are drawn from a separate machine, so the same value can appear in both the main set and the bonus set.
Does buying more tickets help?+
Each different ticket adds one more winning combination, so 10 tickets make you 10 times more likely to win — but with Powerball that only moves you from 1 in 292 million to about 1 in 29 million.
How random are these numbers?+
Without a seed the generator uses your browser's cryptographically secure random source (crypto.getRandomValues), the same one used for encryption keys, and a Fisher–Yates draw so every combination is equally likely.
