About the ACFT Score Calculator (Army Fitness Test)
This ACFT score calculator converts your raw results into points using the official Army Fitness Test (AFT) score tables approved on 15 May 2025 and effective 1 June 2025. The AFT replaced the six-event Army Combat Fitness Test: the standing power throw was dropped, leaving five events — the 3-repetition maximum deadlift, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank and 2-mile run — each scored from 0 to 100 points for a maximum of 500.
Enter your age, sex and raw scores and the calculator finds your age group, looks up each event, totals your points and tells you whether you meet the standard. Soldiers in the 21 designated combat MOSs are held to a single sex-neutral, age-normed standard (the “M|C” column of the tables) of 350 total points with at least 60 in every event; all other Soldiers use sex- and age-normed scoring with a 300-point total requirement and 60 points per event.
It is built for Soldiers, cadets and recruits planning training, and for leaders checking diagnostic results. Raw scores that fall between table rows earn the lower point value, exactly as on a scorecard. Alternate aerobic events (walk, bike, swim, row) are pass/fail and are not scored here. Your official score is always the one recorded on DA Form 705 by graders.
With the default inputs, the total aft score is 409 of 500. Change any value above to recalculate instantly.
How to use the acft score calculator (army fitness test)
- 1Choose your sex and enter your age on the test date.
- 2Pick combat MOS if you hold one of the 21 designated combat specialties; otherwise leave combat-enabling.
- 3Enter your deadlift weight and push-up count.
- 4Enter your sprint-drag-carry, plank and 2-mile run times in minutes and seconds.
- 5Read your total, pass/fail status and the targets for 60 and 100 points in each event.
Formula and method
The AFT is not scored by formula — every event has a lookup table by age group (17–21, 22–26 … 57–61, 62+) and sex. For the deadlift, push-ups and plank you earn the points for the highest row whose value you meet or beat; for the sprint-drag-carry and 2-mile run lower times are better, so you earn the points for the highest row whose time you are at or under. Rows marked “---” in the official tables have no raw score and are skipped.
Combat-MOS Soldiers are scored on the sex-neutral M|C column for their age and need 350 total with at least 60 per event. Other Soldiers use the column for their sex and age and need 300 total with at least 60 per event. Below 60 points the deadlift and push-up tables step in 10-point increments, so a result between two rows takes the lower value.

Worked examples
24-year-old male, combat-enabling
In the 22–26 male column a 250 lb deadlift is worth 81 points and 40 push-ups 83. A 1:55 sprint-drag-carry scores 78, a 2:30 plank 80 and a 16:00 two-mile run 87, for 409 points — comfortably above the 300-point standard.
30-year-old female, combat-enabling
Using the 27–31 female column: 170 lb = 86, 25 push-ups = 82, a 2:30 SDC = 79, a 2:00 plank = 72 and a 19:30 run = 81. The total of 400 passes with every event above 60.
Same results, combat vs. general standard
A 23-year-old woman in a combat MOS is scored on the sex-neutral 22–26 column: 71 + 74 + 67 + 74 + 77 = 363, which clears the 350 combat requirement. The same results on the female column would total 440.
Frequently asked questions
Is the ACFT still used?+
No. The six-event ACFT was replaced by the five-event Army Fitness Test (AFT) on 1 June 2025. The standing power throw was removed; the deadlift, hand-release push-up, sprint-drag-carry, plank and 2-mile run remain, each worth up to 100 points.
What is a passing AFT score?+
Every Soldier needs at least 60 points in each event. Combat-enabling Soldiers need a 300-point total using sex- and age-normed tables; Soldiers in the designated combat MOSs need 350 points on the sex-neutral, age-normed standard.
Which MOSs use the combat standard?+
The Army applies the sex-neutral 350-point standard to 21 combat specialties, such as infantry, armor, field artillery and combat engineer specialties. It took effect for the Active component on 1 January 2026 and for the Guard and Reserve on 1 June 2026.
What if my result falls between two rows of the table?+
You receive the lower point value. For example, if 250 lb is worth 81 points and 260 lb is 83, a 255 lb lift still scores 81. The same rule applies to times: a run one second slower than a row earns the next row down.
What is the maximum AFT score?+
Each of the five events is capped at 100 points, so the maximum is 500. Performances beyond the 100-point standard (for example more push-ups than the table lists) do not add extra points.
Are the alternate aerobic events scored?+
No. The 2.5-mile walk, 12 km bike, 1 km swim and 5 km row are go/no-go events for Soldiers with a profile. You either meet the age and sex time standard or you do not, and the total is computed from the other events.
