About the Singapore CPF Calculator

This Singapore CPF calculator works out the monthly Central Provident Fund contributions for an employee and employer, your take-home pay, and how every contribution is allocated to the Ordinary Account (OA), Special Account or Retirement Account (SA/RA) and MediSave Account (MA). It uses the official CPF Board contribution and allocation rate tables for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, including the graduated rates for first- and second-year PRs.

Choose 2026 for wages earned this year or 2027 to see the higher rates for senior workers that take effect on 1 January 2027 (employees above 55 to 65 contribute 1–1.5 percentage points more, all of it channelled to the Retirement Account). Contributions apply to ordinary wages up to the $8,000 monthly ceiling, and to bonuses and other additional wages up to the additional wage ceiling of $102,000 minus your ordinary wages for the year.

Rates change on the first day of the month after your 55th, 60th, 65th and 70th birthdays, and allocation bands change after your 35th, 45th and 50th. From age 55 the Special Account is closed, so the SA share goes to your Retirement Account up to the Full Retirement Sum. The calculator assumes your monthly wage is the same all year, follows CPF rounding rules and covers private-sector and non-pensionable public employees.

With the default inputs, the total monthly cpf contribution is S$2,220.00. Change any value above to recalculate instantly.

Formula and method

Wage > $750: Total = round(T% × min(OW, $8,000)), Employee = floor(E% × min(OW, $8,000))
$500–$750: Total = R% × TW + 3E% × (TW − $500), Employee = 3E% × (TW − $500)
AW ceiling = $102,000 − 12 × min(OW, $8,000)
MA = Total × rMA, SA/RA = Total × rSA, OA = Total − MA − SA/RA

For monthly wages above $750 the total contribution is the combined rate (T%) times ordinary wages up to the $8,000 ceiling, rounded to the nearest dollar, and the employee’s share is the employee rate (E%) times the same wage, rounded down; the employer pays the difference. Between $500 and $750 the employer pays its rate (R%) on total wages and the employee share phases in at three times the employee rate on wages above $500. At $500 or less only the employer contributes, and nothing is due at $50 or less.

Bonuses and other additional wages attract CPF up to the additional wage ceiling of $102,000 minus the ordinary wages subject to CPF in the year (assumed equal every month). The total contribution is split using CPF allocation ratios: MediSave first, then the Special Account (or Retirement Account from 55), with the remainder to the Ordinary Account. For ages above 55 to 65 in 2026 the ratios are derived from CPF’s 2025 and 2027 tables: the OA and MediSave shares of wages are the same in both years and each rate increase goes entirely to the Retirement Account, so the RA receives the remainder (for example 11.5% of wages above 55 to 60).

Worked examples

Age 30, S$6,000 salary and S$12,000 bonus

At 35 and below the combined rate is 37%: S$2,220 a month, of which S$1,200 (20%) comes from your pay and S$1,020 (17%) from your employer. MediSave gets 21.62% (S$479.96), the Special Account 16.21% (S$359.86) and the OA the rest. The bonus adds 37% of S$12,000 (S$4,440), giving S$31,080 for the year.

Age 58 earning S$10,000, 2026 vs 2027

Only the first S$8,000 attracts CPF. From 2027 the rate for ages above 55 to 60 is 35.5% (19% employee, 16.5% employer): S$2,840 a month, up from S$2,720 in 2026. The Retirement Account receives 36.61% (S$1,039.72) and MediSave 29.57%.

Second-year PR aged 40 on S$4,500

Second-year PRs on graduated rates contribute 24% in total (15% employee, 9% employer) up to age 55: S$1,080 a month on S$4,500, with S$675 deducted from pay.

Low wage of S$700 at age 25

Between S$500 and S$750 the employee share phases in: 0.6 × (700 − 500) = S$120. The total is 17% × 700 + 120 = S$239, so the employer pays S$119.

Frequently asked questions

What are the CPF contribution rates in 2026?+

For Singapore Citizens and third-year PRs earning over $750 a month: 37% up to age 55 (17% employer, 20% employee), 34% above 55 to 60, 25% above 60 to 65, 16.5% above 65 to 70 and 12.5% above 70.

What changes in CPF rates from 1 January 2027?+

Rates rise for employees above 55 to 65: to 35.5% (16.5% employer, 19% employee) above 55 to 60 and 26% (13% each) above 60 to 65. The increase is allocated to the Retirement Account up to the Full Retirement Sum, otherwise to the OA.

What is the CPF wage ceiling?+

From 1 January 2026 the ordinary wage ceiling is $8,000 a month. Additional wages such as bonuses attract CPF up to the additional wage ceiling of $102,000 minus total ordinary wages subject to CPF in the year.

How is CPF allocated to OA, SA and MA?+

CPF computes the MediSave share first, then the Special or Retirement Account share, and the remainder goes to the Ordinary Account. Younger members get more in the OA; from 50 more goes to SA/RA and MediSave.

What happens to the Special Account at 55?+

Since January 2025 the Special Account is closed when you turn 55. Savings move to a Retirement Account up to the Full Retirement Sum, and contributions that would have gone to the SA are channelled to the RA, or to the OA once the FRS is met.

Do PRs pay CPF at lower rates?+

Yes, in their first two years of PR status employees and employers contribute at graduated rates — for example 9% in total in year one and 24% in year two for those 55 and below — unless they jointly apply to pay full rates.
