About the Text Repeater
Text Repeater copies a word, phrase, emoji or block of text as many times as you want and joins the copies with the separator you choose: nothing, a space, a new line, a comma or anything you type. It is quicker and more reliable than pasting the same thing over and over.
People use it to make filler and test data, stress-test input fields and character limits, build placeholder rows for spreadsheets, write lines for practice or punishment exercises, and create playful messages like a hundred heart emoji. Numbering each copy is useful for checklists, sample lists and line-by-line testing.
You can repeat up to 10,000 times; to keep your browser responsive, the output stops at 500,000 characters and the tool tells you when that cap is hit. Many chat apps limit message length (for example 2,000 characters on Discord without Nitro), so check the character count before you send.
How to use the text repeater
- 1Type the word, phrase or emoji you want to repeat.
- 2Enter how many times to repeat it (up to 10,000).
- 3Choose a separator, or pick Custom and type your own.
- 4Turn on numbering if you want 1., 2., 3. before each copy.
- 5Copy the result.
Formula and method
The text T is repeated n times and a separator S is placed between neighbouring copies, but not after the last one, so the length is n × |T| + (n − 1) × |S| characters. With numbering on, each copy is prefixed with its position ("1. ", "2. ", …), which adds those characters too.
Characters are counted as Unicode code points, so an emoji such as ❤️ may count as two (the heart plus a variation selector). Words are runs of non-space characters. In a custom separator you can type \n for a new line or \t for a tab. Output is capped at 500,000 characters to keep the page fast.

Worked examples
Repeat a word five times
Five copies of the 5-letter "Hello" plus four spaces between them gives 5 × 5 + 4 = 29 characters.
Numbered lines for a practice sheet
Each line is the 21-character sentence with a 3-character "n. " prefix (24 characters), and two line breaks join the three lines: 3 × 24 + 2 = 74.
A comma-separated list of placeholders
Four copies of "TBD" with ", " between them: 4 × 3 + 3 × 2 = 18 characters, handy for filling spreadsheet cells.
Custom separator
The custom separator " | " (3 characters) goes between the three copies: 3 × 2 + 2 × 3 = 12 characters.
Frequently asked questions
How do I repeat text multiple times?+
Type your text, enter the number of repetitions and choose a separator. The repeated text appears instantly, ready to copy, with copies separated by spaces, new lines, commas or any custom string.
What is the maximum number of repetitions?+
You can enter up to 10,000 repetitions. The output is capped at 500,000 characters so the browser stays responsive; if your text is long, the tool stops earlier and tells you how many copies it made.
Can I repeat emoji?+
Yes. Paste any emoji or combination of emoji and repeat it. Note that many emoji are made of more than one code point, so the character count can be higher than the number of visible symbols.
How do I put each copy on a new line?+
Choose "New line" as the separator. For a custom separator you can also type \n to insert a line break, for example ",\n" puts a comma at the end of each line.
Will a very long message fit in Discord or on X?+
Apps have limits: Discord allows 2,000 characters per message without Nitro and X allows 280 for standard posts. Check the character count shown here and reduce the repetitions if needed.
