About the Fantasy Football Points Calculator

This fantasy football points calculator converts a box-score stat line into fantasy points. Enter passing, rushing and receiving yards and touchdowns, receptions, interceptions, fumbles lost and two-point conversions, choose your league’s scoring format, and it shows the total plus the breakdown by category and what the same game is worth in standard, half-PPR and full-PPR leagues.

Use it to check a weekly score, settle a league dispute, compare a pass-catching running back with a goal-line back across formats, or build projections from a stat forecast. It works for quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends.

The defaults match the standard scoring most platforms use: 1 point per 25 passing yards, 4 points per passing touchdown, −2 per interception (some platforms default to −1, which you can switch to), 1 point per 10 rushing or receiving yards, 6 points per rushing or receiving touchdown, 2 per two-point conversion and −2 per fumble lost. Receptions add 0, 0.5 or 1 point depending on the format. Leagues with custom settings, yardage bonuses or kickers and defences will differ.

With the default inputs, the fantasy points is 22.5. Change any value above to recalculate instantly.

How to use the fantasy football points calculator

  1. 1Choose your league’s scoring format, passing-touchdown value and interception penalty.
  2. 2Enter the player’s passing stats (quarterbacks).
  3. 3Enter rushing and receiving stats, including receptions.
  4. 4Add any two-point conversions and fumbles lost.
  5. 5Read the total and compare standard, half-PPR and PPR values.

Formula and method

Points = passYds ÷ 25 + passTD × (4 or 6) − INT × (2 or 1) + (rushYds + recYds) ÷ 10 + (rushTD + recTD) × 6 + receptions × PPR + 2PT × 2 − fumbles lost × 2

Each stat earns a fixed number of points. Yardage is scored fractionally — 1 point per 25 passing yards (0.04 a yard) and 1 point per 10 rushing or receiving yards (0.1 a yard) — which is how the major fantasy platforms display decimal scoring. Touchdowns are worth 6 points except passing touchdowns, which are 4 by default (6 in many leagues).

The only difference between formats is receptions: 0 points in standard, 0.5 in half-PPR and 1 in PPR. Interceptions cost 2 points (1 point on some platforms), fumbles lost cost 2 points, and two-point conversions earn 2 points for the player who passes, runs or catches them.

Worked examples

WR: 7 catches, 95 yards, 1 TD (PPR)

95 receiving yards is 9.5 points and the touchdown adds 6, for 15.5 in standard scoring. Seven receptions add 3.5 in half-PPR (19.0) and 7 in PPR (22.5).

QB: 300 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 20 rushing yards

300 passing yards ÷ 25 = 12 points and two passing touchdowns add 8, for 20 passing points. Twenty rushing yards add 2 and the interception costs 2, so the total is 20.0 in every format.

RB in half-PPR: 85 rush yds, 1 TD, 4 catches for 30, 1 fumble

Rushing gives 8.5 + 6 = 14.5 points. Thirty receiving yards (3) plus four half-point catches (2) add 5, and the lost fumble takes off 2, for 17.5. In full PPR it would be 19.5.

Frequently asked questions

How are fantasy football points calculated?+

In standard scoring, players earn 1 point per 10 rushing or receiving yards, 1 point per 25 passing yards, 6 points per rushing or receiving touchdown, 4 per passing touchdown and 2 per two-point conversion, and lose 2 points per fumble lost and 1 or 2 points per interception depending on the platform.

What is the difference between PPR and half-PPR?+

PPR (points per reception) gives 1 point for every catch, half-PPR gives 0.5 and standard gives none. PPR boosts slot receivers and pass-catching running backs who catch many short passes.

Do fantasy points use decimals?+

Most major platforms score yardage in decimals by default, so 95 yards is 9.5 points. Some leagues round down to whole points (every full 10 yards), which can lower totals by up to 0.9 per category.

How many points is a passing touchdown worth?+

The default on most platforms is 4 points, but many leagues — especially superflex and quarterback-friendly ones — use 6. Switch the setting to see how much that changes a quarterback’s score.

What is a good fantasy score for a week?+

In PPR leagues, about 15–20 points is a strong week for a wide receiver or running back, and 20–25 for a quarterback. Elite performances often exceed 30 points.

Does this include kickers and team defence?+

No. Kicker and defence/special-teams scoring use different rules, such as field-goal distance bands and points-allowed tiers, so this calculator covers offensive players only.
